Scam Buster

Is the essay company you are about to buy from a scam?

As the industry leader it is our duty to inform you of something. When you buy an essay you are unfortunately in danger of being scammed. As the industry grows, more and more scams are popping up, all outside the reach of UK law.

These websites are operated by foreign con-artists and companies pretending to be British. They do this to imitate genuine British sites like ours and get you to part with your money.

The trick is quite easy to spot. They claim to sell 2:1 work by UK writers but sadly these claims are nothing more than hollow promises and outright lies. Their prices will always be below £90 per 1000 words for 2:1 work, often as low as £60 or even £50 per 1000 words. The work they sell is almost always plagiarised junk largely copy and pasted off the net by foreign writers with a poor grasp of the English. These writers receive mere pennies in return.

So when buying essays remember it’s a case of buyer beware.  Please be vigilant and use our guaranteed Scam Buster Rules below to stay safe and avoid losing your money.

When using the Scam Buster the golden rule to remember is that a scam website will give all sorts of reasons why they can’t fully pass the tests below. These reasons are all lies, please do not be deceived. Accept no excuses - ever! These websites are so intent on stealing from you, some scam sites even copy and edit our scam warnings to seem like us!

Be A Scam Buster! Does the essay website you’ve found pass the test?

1. Prices – no genuine UK company charges less than £90 per 1000 words for 2:1 class work – ever! Even that price is very low.  It’s impossible to make a profit using UK writers selling work at lower prices!

2. Find their UK local phone number on their website. This will begin with 01 … not 0800, 808 etc. - if they don’t have one, they are scam!

3. Ring them - do they answer their phones? If not they are a scammer!

4. The person answering should clearly sound English! If they are not - they are not based in the UK - whatever they tell you!

5. Any real British company has a UK bank account. Ask for their UK branch bank account name (eg Barclays, Natwest etc), and their account number and sort code. Ensure the bank account name matches their website or company name so they can’t use someone else's.  If they refuse to give it you then they don’t have one - simple! No excuses!

6. Deposit a small amount into their bank account. Then call them and ask them the amount - if they don't know it’s a scam!

7. Now ask for their Companies House number – all UK companies must also display this on their website by law.

8. Check this number at the UK government website -  http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/a90515998881482a70b0ac5f058f9ace/wcframe?name=accessCompanyInfo

9. Does the name of their company come up? Check carefully, many scammers use Company Numbers of other unrelated firms. If the number is in another company name or can’t be found, then it is fraudulent and they are a scammer!

10. Now check the status of the company by clicking on the record you’ve found – if they are listed as "Dissolved" they are a scammer!

11. Finally as a last measure, check essayfraud.org for the website – they have a list of over 625 scam websites!

There you have it, we can’t guarantee your work from any other website will be good, (we can only guarantee that when you buy from us!) but if the website you choose passes the Scam Buster test above, at least you know its genuine and based in the UK!
